Boxes for Musical Instruments – Protection and Safety?
Examples of metal wind instruments raise the question of the extent to which their cases are the cause of the observed corrosion products. Small metal sheets placed inside the cases for a prolonged time show that the cases, intended as a protection for the instruments, are the very starting point and catalyser of corrosive attack.
